Top blogs of 2023
Today, I share with you my website’s top blogs of 2023. As a newspaper assistant editor years ago, I remember the year-end issues that highlighted the top headlines of the year. Rather than concentrate on monthly titles, I note the top ones for the entire year.
Top blogs: most read
The top blogs for 2023 include these six: “Answered Prayers Confirms God Hears Us” “Reusing Items Saves Money,” “8 Things I Learned from My Mom,” “3 Ways I’m Like My Mother,” “Ideas to Save Money on a Wedding,” and “How I Homeschooled with Abeka.” These are listed in order of popularity with number one listed first. Three are in the General Posts, two in the Frugal Living Posts, and one in the Homeschool Posts.
The book that generated the most interest was Ophelia Starcluck Saves the Galaxy. For reviews on clean reads for kids 8-18 and for adults, please check out my Clean Reads and Inspiration Posts under the tab by that name.
Top blogs: most emails
These four generated the most conversation with readers. I counted the private emails along with the comments. “A Writing Dream,” “Adjusting Expectations,” “Lost Loved Ones, A Tribute,” and “Empty Nest Syndrome” touched many of you. Three of these landed in my Life After Homeschooling category, and one was in my General Posts category. They do not appear in any particular order.
Out of curiosity, I checked to see what the top interests were since I began blogging. These two stories generated lots of interest: “To Dye or Not to Dye Hair” and “Are You Wrestling with Grief.” The hair debate appeared on October 17, 2019. The grief story published on December 31, 2020.
Plans for 2024
In 2024, at least for the first half, I plan to change things up by posting every other week instead of weekly so that I may dedicate time to complete other projects. Brainstorming and writing the blogs each week takes a major investment of my time. You can help me decide on which topics most interest you, by sharing with me which blogs impacted you the most this year and telling me of any topics you hope I will cover. I covered many homeschool questions brought up to me this year. I care about your concerns. So, talk with me, friends, and I will see what I can do.
Did I include your favorite blog from me this year?
